Green Wall

More and more new buildings have introduced vertical greening designs. Benefits of vertical green walls include beautifying the exterior walls with plants, cooling down building temperature, improving roadside and greenhouse gas emission, insulating against sound. However, most of the plants suitable for the vertical green walls are ferns, bromeliads, air plants as they require minimum nutrients, water and easy management. There is no information on carbon uptake and removal. The walls are largely irrigated by workers manually on a regular basis.
